Merry Christmas take 2!

Christmas day was early, as usual, my fault. I just don't want to miss out on anything. We had lot of fun opening gifts. I was worried that after Christmas with my parents Malac would have issues opening others gifts and it wouldn't be pretty. But he did really well and was often kept busy enough to be distracted. The only exception was when "Santa" gave papa a tractor for Malac to play with, since he is always taking papa's from him. Papa told Malac the gift was to both of them and Malac gave Papa a good tug-o-war- over the gift. It was pretty silly.

Papa and Mamom opening their gift.

I just love this picture of Malac! It looks like the baby from the sunscreen ad.

Osmos found his gift, by smelling. He wouldn't let the kids near it! It was chicken!!! yum!

Logan was very excited!

Lovely picture of our mad scientist!

Malac is wide awake as you can see he needed a banana to help perk up. Merry Christmas!!!
P.S. I just want to say, I have learned so much this year. And although I always knew it, I KNOW it now, and that is how much my husband loves me. I am in awe of him and his strength. And I have learned just how much I love him. Thank you Adam!

Merry Christmas!

Today we went down to my parents to celebrate Christmas, as my dad will be working all through the Holidays. we had lots of fun. Pizza for dinner, what could be yummier!

Then we opened gifts. Malac didn't understand last year. We ended up opening them up for him. But not this year. Rarely was there a gift open with out Malac's help. He loved ripping the paper. even if he could see what it was if there was still paper on the gift, it had to come off. His favorite, I think was his new Dump truck from grandma and Grandpa. He wanted it on his lap on the way home. He ended up falling asleep though. The snow came down today too. About an inch or so. It really made it feel like Christmas time!

What a mess!!! Good thing Malac is a good cleaner!

Welcome to the world Rebecca!

Well today an amazing feat happened. My sister in-law Nichole went to the hospital to have a baby boy Hunter and instead came out a little baby girl Rebecca.
She is very cute and very small. About 5lbs. Light as a feather!
Here's a picture of her and her mommy. I think it's amazing that she looks so good for having just given birth a few hours before!

A little dark hair, and cute face!

Her toes are sooo small! and so cute!...Shes so tiny shes too big for her new born diapers. She needs preemies!

She liked to listen to her papa on the phone! She calmed down quickly!

Here is my favorite part her cute cry!! She has a beautiful voice! Happy Birthday Rebeca!

P.S. I am not sure how her mommy spells Rebecca!

Preparing for Christmas

Today, and much of this week has been preparing for the holidays. With this Christmas season, Snow has of course come, unfortunately not as much as I'd like (lots) We got approx. 1 inch or less. Anyhow I decided to sweep off our porch and let Malac play in the snow. I go him all bundled up and ready and as I thought "good thing he has a diaper on and isn't being potty trained, or he'd have to go right now!" He had a I'm in a hot snow suit and can't move melt down. I'd rather have that then any potty accident!

We cleaned the house and this evening I have been quite the baker! I love to take in to Adam's work yummy goodies around Christmas. It's fun for me to bake, the coworkers quite often devour anything I bring and this way I get to taste yummy treats without having them around me waiting for me to eat them all. I made cookies and at their thankful request pumpkin bars. It's very fun for me!

Lastly while I was cleaning up today I found an ad that had been left out from one of the online Christmas orders. I looked at it twice. I think it looks quite a bit like Truxton. maybe he secretly did a little modeling on the side. He sure is cute enough to have! what do you think??

I have a boy who loves to dance! Which is good I think seeing as this is how his mommy and daddy met. I have tried to take pictures and even viedo. But as soon as I get the camera out he stops. So I was changing his pants and just making up a song to get him to stop throwing a fit and I got more dancing but here he is doing the best he can infront of the camera!

Surprise!

Last night we had a very fun surprise! Melissa and Aaron stopped by. Now Melissa is Adam's cousin and Aaron is Adam's great friend, whom we call Uncle Aaron. So what does that make Melissa, An Aunt of course! It just sounds so much better the "your great cousin Melissa." Not that Melissa isn't great. Any how, It was a lot of fun to sit and chat with them. Malac was thrilled to have someone new over to talk to. Especially since they brought a CAT tractor for him. (Thanks for that!) Malac loved to crawl up on Melissa's lap and talk and show her his toys. He loved it! As you can probably see from the picture. He was having so much fun he didn't want to go to bed! After I did put him to bed though, Adam pulled out the train pieces and he and Aaron worked on making a permanent design for the train tracks. I think it took a little longer then they were thinking it would. They tried several designs before they found one that worked for them. Melissa and I tried to help but they were to into doing themselves to get help! But we were so happy to have them over and helping and keeping company. I just hope they didn't freeze to death when they went to their car!! They are welcome anytime! I just hope between the three of us we didn't scare em off! :)

Miscellaneous

Well what a weekend this has been. It has been freezing cold and very windy! Malac usually puts up a fuss getting in to the car but not in this cold! He tells us "cold!" we always agree. In fact the other night he was all bundled up and a blanket on top, when I got him out of the car he cried for the blanket!! It was too cold for him.

It was really cold last night. Adam and I were given tickets to the theater. We went and saw a rendition of "Sweeney Todd" I was expecting something a bit more gruesome. But it was pretty well done for a play about murder. It was amazing that each actor also played at least 2 instruments, and played throughout. The set was pretty cool too. But mostly I was glad I wore practical shoes and a nice warm coat. It was freezing. Adam said that the weather was a lot like this the whole winters he had on his mission in Wyoming. I said that I couldn't survive a whole winter or this freezing cold weather and wind. Yuck! I didn't even know if I could make it to the car!

Here he is in a cute hat that was found in his Mamoms coat closet. It used to be his cousin Nicholas. He likes it a lot and was wearing it around. He's so skinny I get worried he doesn't have any fat to help insulate. So he has a few layers on.

I had so many people who did not recognize me today at church I thought I would show my hair curly. Adam says it's too "big" he prefers this cut straight.
Lastly I thought I would show a close up of our cute tree. I just love our ornaments. They all have memories and such attached to each and every one. here you see a star Kathi made, a missionary I made for Adam while he was on his mission, a few he got on his mission and a few that represent what went on that year. Christmas is such a fun time of year. It reminds me of all I am grateful for. Family, new family and friends, and with this very cold weather, wind, snow and icky roads, I am very grateful for my home sweet home!

Welcome Home Truxton!!!

Welcome home Truxton!!! If you haven't guessed already I was able to drive with George, Kathi , and Malac to Portland to pick up Truxton and his mom and dad at the airport. It was so exciting! We got to Portland and were early so we kept busy. Everyone but me got tired quickly. I was too excited to be tired! The we watched their plane land. Malac loved that part. Malac and I went in to see em and pulled out a little poster we made that said "Welcome Truxton" and Congratulations uncle Dan and aunt Jess" that Malac and I had colored. But Mr. Malac wouldn't give it up because he realized that it had pictures of trucks and tractors on it. He watched Truxton closely and held tightly to that picture the whole way to the Davenports. We pulled in and Truxton woke up so we got to play with him before we put him to bed. Malac wasn't so sure of Truxton, I think most of it had to be that it was like 1am.
The next morning Malac woke up early and ate some toast, Thankfully mommy got a little snuggle time in with Truxton before Malac woke up, He's not so hot on mommy holding another baby that's not him! Then he realized that Papa was holding Truxon and instead of staying far away from this unknown thing on his papa's lap he had to reclaim his papa. so he snuggled up on papa's lap. It's a cute picture of the two little guys! After that he was much more OK with sharing everyone with Truxton. I think he realized he's here to stay! Papa was genius in that he took Malac for a walk to the construction sight down the road and even got some Really cute pictures of Malac standing next to some giant CAT tractors. Malac even brought home a rock from his walk to start a rock collection like Mamom.

Malac did give Truxton a few Kisses!! Sweet!

We all had so much fun welcoming Truxton, Dan, and Jess home. The Boys were so happy to be home and and their family home too. I am so happy for them all to have such a beautiful, happy, amazing, blessed family! Truxton is soo cute and has the most amazing dark brown eyes and cute chubby body. His hair is silk! I enjoyed cuddling him very much! Thanks Mamom and Papa for letting Malac and I hitch a ride with you! It was so fun! Thank you Dan and Jess for sharing your sweet baby. It was such an awesome trip! I can't wait to see him again! Congratulations!!!!! and WELCOME HOME!!!!

Noodles!

Tonight we had spaghetti for dinner. As soon as Malac saw what we were having he exclaimed loudly "Noodles!!" He was so excited. We sat and ate and he ate almost everything. I think we might need to have noodles more often since my little stick boy is so in love with noodles.

He also got to play with his grandma and grandpa today. ha had a lot of fun being the center of attention. showing off all his tractors, cars, and iron man. He must have worked up an appetite for his noodles. Showing off takes a lot of work ya know!

more of Mr. Truxton

I just want to share more pictures of the little guy. I already love him and can't wait to squeeze him!

Hairy!

Today was such a hairy day. For starters Mr. Maximus I think is missing his mommy and daddy. He has been pushing his face in our faces all day. And Poor Mr. Malac is about the same height so his face is being cleaned and he is being knocked down constantly. Today I've heard lots of "nos" and "stops" being told by Malac to Maximus. It's Pretty cute!

Next Nichole and I went to salon and she got a trim and I got a cut and color. It seems I get my hair done twice a year and one of those times is at Christmas. I really like the chick who does my hair and trust her completely. So I told her to have fun. So she did. I think it took her a little longer then she was hopping for thought. So any how she showed me lots of cute tips, I hope to try our and make it work like she said it would. Like it??? Adam and I do and that's all that really matters to me!

Lastly I finished up putting lights up on the house. What does putting lights up have to do with being hairy??? Well i am scared of heights and so to me it was a little hairy! But gratefully my awesome husband came out and did the really scary stuff! He got the high high spots and finished up for me. I am very proud of my Christmas decorations this year. I did a lot outside, and I normally don't. But the best part is is that it didn't cost very much! I found a lot a the dollar store or dollar sections of other stores and mixed and matched things from other stores like Target. I love to shop around and find good deals. I'm pretty good at it too. The picture kinda sucks, and doesn't to my decorating justice, but I'll let you be the judge! Merry Christmas!!!
