Good News

We got good news today. Malac had his after surgery apt. today. It is healing great, and apparently to the surprise of our surgeon he said,"You know that spot on his mole (the darkened, raised, hairy spot) We got great news not even that spot was bad, it was all benign." So in other words, no worries, no treatment for skin cancer, just lots of relief! Were so glad we were guided to 3 (or 4 depending on how you look at it) great doctors who guided us to have it looked at and then removed. They all agreed with time, it could turn into a danger spot, so it was removed, and as scary as it was we couldn't be happier.

Memorial Day Weekend

This weekend we had lots of family visiting. It kept us quite busy. Dan, Jess, and Truxton came and visited. It was a lot of fun! Truxton is getting so BIG! he almost weighs as much as Malac. Not to mention I was getting last years 18 month shorts out for Truxton (who is 8 months old) and Malac still fit in them so we kept them. Crazy huh!
Malac LOVES babies. He tries very hard to take care of them so he played with Truxton and Rebecca really well, bringing them toys and Binkis'. He didn't however appreciate Truxton trying to take his socks off. Truxton tried very had to entertain us all with is bear walk too, he is crawling everywhere and tries to do a bear walk too.

Then my family all came up for a visit. We all were entertained by Malac and then we played some Wii. Malac really enjoyed having his Uncles over. He loves to play with them. Grandpa even brought a flash light car, Malac went to bed with it. I'm surprised the lights arn't dead yet. And Lastly Jake brought his super cute girl-friend over too, We just hope we didn't scare her off too much!

We also went to the cemetery and visited all the family there. It was a beautiful HOT day and very busy there too. But it was really enjoyable. The only funny part is we kept telling Malac we were going to visit great grandma and grandpa Carlson, We think he got a little confused, he kept looking for grandma and grandpa, we had to explain that this wasn't grandma and grandpa Montague, but some other grandparents he knew in Heaven. Silly kid. It was a fun and busy weekend. Lots of work got done on Nichole's house, and I even got a little done here at home. Hope yours was as fun as ours!

Fisrt surgery

This morning was Malac's firsts surgery. It wasn't a fun experience, but not bad, and we all made it through it ok. Malac was born with a large mole on his back. It seemed so huge on his little body. Well it has been changing and it shouldn't be so his doctor, our dermatologist and a plastic surgeon latter, they all said it should come off.
So last night it started when I got to give malac a 20 minute scrub down of his back with anti-bacterial soap. Then we were called this morning around 6:30ish and told we were late and needed to be there at 6:30 not the original 7:30 we were told. So we rushed out the door, and we made it there by 7. The doctor didn't get there till the orignal 8:30 surgery time as planned, mix up of communication there). They started out by changing into the cute tiger hospital gown, which he didn't want on. Then we gave him a special medicine that made him pretty loopie. He would be happy one minute giggling, and showing us his throat for no reason, then crying and wigging out the next. The hardest part was watching him being carried away to surgery. I could hardly take it. Then we waited. about 45 minutes later a lady from church who works behind the reception counter was happy to report that surgery was successful and Malac went out giggling. We could see him when he woke up. We got to go back and see him as he woke up. he was crying, he was glad to see us for like 2 seconds before he was screaming to get his IV taken out. So after he was up and drinking OK, they took the IV out and he got to come home. He cried most of the way home. Still out of it. The nurse said he would act like a drunken sailor for a while and she was right, it take a lot of convincing for him not to walk some where. I'm grateful it is over and that my little guy is safe and slowly returning to himself. We'll see if we can get a picture of the final result. But not today. Today is for healing and relaxing.

New Toys!

Aunt Julie and Uncle Chris have always been amazingly giving. Rather then give really cool stuff to goodwill or have a yard sale, they will often clean out kids rooms and pass things on to us. And it is always given a second chance at life. Malac plays non stop with just about everything. Now they have gone and done it again with some really cool outside toys. Malac loves them. He kept saying "thanks mom!" and "This is so fun!" over and over. He had a blast and now we can't get him to come back in the house. Even Osmos has fun! Thanks Aunt Julie and Uncle Chris!!!

Jail Time

Malac crawled in Osmos's Kennel and somehow got Osmos in too, Maybe Osmos was already in and Malac rushed in, were not really sure how but it was pretty funny to see the two in this tinny kennel. Then Osmos tried to get out and Malac put him back. Those two are quite the pair. Definitely brothers!

MARVEL

What a MARVEL. My boys in their new tattoos. What would we do with out those marvel comic characters! Malac was very proud of his, and made daddy put his on too!

what!

I couldn't come up with a good title for today so I figured some of you might say what??? after reading this soo....anyhow...
Malac went through the puppy drawer and found some old dog treats, We figured out that Osmos won't chew his dog treats unless one of us is holding it, quite the slave to our puppy aren't we! We each took a turn. Malac didn't like it Osmos would only chew if he held it a certain way, he was so done with that!
Also this weekend Malac and I went to the craft store and spent a half hour or so and we came out victorious! I won with Malac's help just shy of a hundred dollars worth of paper and paper pretty uppers. I was very excited. I have never won any thing but a coffee maker before, and that was at my graduation party. This was way cooler! It all even came in a clearance $10 plastic tote! so cool!
