A hard week for whom???

a hard week. Yes. It started off with Malac having a sliver in his hand, and daddy had to take it out. It was really hard to listen to, Malac didn't like it one bit. Then the next day Malac was telling me how his hand hurt so I checked it out, the other hand we seemed to overlook was COVERED in little slivers. So Mommy had the "joy" of taking them all out. Again not fun, and very heart breaking to listen to.
Lastly today was the hardest day of all. I needed to take Audrey to Gymnastics, and in the back they have a giant kids gym (like MC Donald's play place but bigger and better) so of course that's where Malac and I waited, My good friend Leticia and her son Chase met up with us latter and we played for quite a while. A few families came and went but for the most part it was a pretty quite day there. Malac was even the only one for a while. So anyhow,....Leticia and I got to chatting, the kids were doing great. when in the ball pit, Leticia sees a commotion, so I turn and see a little boy around 3-4 beating with both arms full force another kid. I thought it was the kids moms friends kid so I turned away to tell the mom when Leticia says "That's Malac!" I turn and ran, and said stop! STOP! STOP! over and over, I climbed to the tube door of the ball pit and pulled my baby out. The boy hitting, pulling hair the whole time, till Malac was in my arms. The mom walked up and said, " what happened?" I tried to remain calm and said "he hit and pulled hair" and walked to my seat. Malac was wailing. I was soooooo upset. So while I am comforting my poor little guy who had no clue what or why this all happened and didn't defend himself one bit, this mom is sugar coating, her flowery message, asking what and why, while this other kid blamed it all on Malac, he apparently threw a ball or two in the ball pit, which set the kid off, then she says you need to say sorry, so he did the "I'm only saying sorry because she's making voice" sorry, and mom says now you'll get a quick time out before you can go play again. In the most flowery voice ever. I was so mad. Not just at this mean boy but his flowery mother. Malac was bright red all over from being hit over and over. And after checking him out again latter today, he has a cut lip, a cut finger, all his fingers are bright red, a bruise on his cheek and still bright red cheeks, and a long scratch on his forehead. I felt like the worst mom in the world, and like it was my fault for letting this all happen. I don't care that I got glares from the kids mom or that I told her kid "STOP!" but kids shouldn't even know how to beat other kids like that. and maybe that's just my own floweriness shining but ahhh!!! I don't know who this all was harder on him or me. He told the boy who beat him sorry, and forgave right away, he could have had a broken arm and still forgave him. ... I wish I were more like him. I wish I didn't feel like this kid is awful and mean, and needs a swift kick in the pants, I wish I could forgive and forget like my 2 year old. I guess I have a lot more to learn, and a lot of that is going to come from my son... But no matter how you look at it, it was still a hard week. And if i am ever at that gym and that mother walks in no matter how long we have or haven been I plan on walking out. I don't want to put my child or children in my care near the possibility of being hurt like that ever again. I know I can't protect him from everything but at least from this little boy, I will do that for sure!

One step closer

This week as yet again been another busy week. I am so very excited that we are one step closer! Adam worked on ripping up grass for my raised garden and George, Adam and I all helped,(Adam and I assisted George) in getting one step closer to having the bathroom completed! I am so excited. This week so far we got cement floor board down and mortared and screwed down, tile cut and then mortared down and the entire bathroom and ceiling painted! It looks great. Tomorrows list is to try and clean/fix up the old vanity and make it look new(er). I can't wait to do Laundry in my own house and potty in my newer toilet! It really is the small things in life that are the best arnt they!

So much going on!

Well like the tittle says too much has been going on, not that I'm complaining, just busy. We started to get everything ready for a week of potty training-hard core- but then things kept happening. I'll be watching kids as Kathi will be at her Alzheimer's convention, so that wouldn't work with potty training then next week Ill be watching kids and the Georges business as they will be at AIA. So that won't work with potty training. But really I don't mind putting it off, it's a bit scary, but I won't let on with Malac...

On top of all this I asked Adam to check my lap top for bugs, out of the blue one night and well... as Adam puts it, it was DOA(dead on arrival). It somehow had more bugs then a cockroach fest. and not the easy to get rid of kind the very bad, had to wipe my drive kind. It sucked. But I have an awesome husband who knows tons about computers, and was able to fix it in a jiffy! (the picture I snapped of him fixing it looks like he's sleeping but he's just looking down at something.)

Then My sweet sweet boy one morning while I was helping Adam get ready for work decided to dump an entire new bottle of juice on the CARPET. I was so mad. I even grounded him from juice. He was in big trouble. But we borrowed mamom's spot bot, and it did a great job of cleaning it right up. Good thing my carpet is brown right?!?!

Then speaking of floors.... A while ago we got a new toilet. YES!!... but some how unknown to us the ring thing broke, and slowly leaked. Then one day we had a puddle and George came running to our rescue. With some help they were able to fix and stop the leak but the damage had already been done. So tile has been picked, and now today we started the project. the sub-flooring has been ripped up and toilet, washer and dryer and even vanity have all been ripped up. Adam and I both took turns helping out. This is all new to us. Gratefully, Kathi decided it had to be done right, so my ugly pinkish counter was also ripped up,( so the floor could dry under it) but I get to keep the vanity which I am very happy about as I love the size and more importantly the drawers. 3 large drawers, and a cabinet. So hopefully someday soon I will have all new sub flooring, new tile floor, my toilet back and a new lovely counter top and a renewed vanity(my job). I am scared and very excited for not only a new bathroom makeover, but the opportunity to learn how to do it all. Maybe I can then carry on that experience to other parts of my home!!!! I am also very grateful for all the help we are being given. If it weren't for George it might not have ever been done, let alone done right. Thanks!

Lastly Malac and I have been doing a lot of yard work trying to keep our yard looking great this year and not letting it die. So while we were out enjoying the yard, I grabbed the camera, and we had a great photo session. I think I did a great job, for not really having any photo experience, so I decided to show you just a few of my favs, enjoy!

Happy Easter!

This weekend was a fun and busy weekend. Saturday Malac had his cousins over and we had an Easter egg hunt. It was pretty funny to watch. We also recognized that the number of eggs you got depended on your age. Just look at the baskets! Each basket gets a little fuller. The kids had a blast. It was really funny to watch Malac and Lilly gather eggs, as they passed up another couple handfuls. Lilly would even help Malac out and show him where some eggs were. It was fun to watch. Earlier in the day I took Malac to the grocery store and there was a girl dressed up as a Easter bunny. She gave him a pieces of candy and he asked where the bunny was as we walked around then when we checked out he saw her giving candy to other kids and he got a little upset. It was funny.

Then to add to the festivities it was also my birthday. The big 26. So we had a nummy birthday dinner. I even got a timer for my yard, so I don't kill it again. and a very fun font for my cricket, from my friend Leticia and her family. Malac got the coolest gift, and it wasn't even his birthday. He got a train set that is normally expensive, but on sale for VERY cheap. So we put it together, it's pretty cool, but It will be even cooler when we put it together with the pieces we have to make a really cool track and glue it all down. Can't wait.

Then we went to my parents house for a nummy Easter dinner and Malac got some fun Easter gifts too. It was really nice. Malac really enjoyed himself, he even sang most of the way home. I know enjoyed seeing his grandparents and his UNCLES a lot.
Lastly when we got home i hurried and snapped a picture of Malac, he was quietly singing to his daddy while he was going potty. It was pretty cute. I wish I could have gotten video.
Any how Happy Easter!

I'm DANCING!

Sunday night a few weeks ago Adam turned his music on and Sweet Malac Ran and got his Monster truck Head phones and ran around "dancing" and running around yelling "I'm Dancing!" It was a lot of fun to watch. Since then he has become quite the singer. We have noticed we have to be careful what song comes on the radio because he sings along what ever the song, what ever that station. He is getting pretty good at it too. In a bit more recent news, His big cousins, Lily and Logan have been over visiting while their parents were out of town. Malac has LOVED this. He tries his best to call for all of his cousins, by name. His favorite name being Logan, followed up quickly by Audrey. He loves to spend time with his cousins and hates to leave them. He also has had the opportunity to spend some time with my family. He Adores his uncles. We even had dinner at Grandmas. He was way too excited to eat though. Lastly in baby news, I seem to have evening sickness, it seems to creep up a little earlier each day. It is very frustrating as I 1. hate being sick and 2. get so much less done. But I guess that's just getting me ready for actually having a baby around. Don't get much done with them around! Oh well we shall live!
