Finely Finnished???
leftover fabric, and then put little squares on it. I painted a square border on all the walls, and did all the paintings myself. I even attempted my first clock, it works! When I painted the squares on the wall I spilt a little paint on the changing pad, so I figured I couldn't ruin it more and painted a giraffe on it. Some other things I did was paint squares on the wipe box, and made my own crib sheets, I framed all the pictures I found, and picked out all the fabrics, but my mom made the cute baby blanket. I know there are a few odds and ends to get yet, but I think it finely feels done. Thanks for putting up with my nesting post!

Fun Family Night Out

Friday on a whim for some family fun, while we were in the car Adam, Malac and I decided to try out some go carts and arcade games. Adam and Malac did the go carts. I regretted not having the camera with me, Malac was literally shivering with delight. He did little jumps and was more excited then I have ever seen. "I get to drive!" he would say. Of course he didn't he got to ride in the passenger seat. Of course having a big belly I wasn't able to ride, a mom there was chatting me up and let me know that there was a army helicopter about ready to take off. So we sat at a Dairy Queen across the street from an elementary school. the school was having the back to school BBQ and invited the army. So after about 15 minutes, with the best seat in the house, we got to watch the helicopter fly away. It was pretty neat and we didn't have time to go do arcade games, so with McDonald's 50cent cones, we got out for under $10, and it was a night Malac is still talking about. I just wish I had have had my camera.

Jammie Time
Tonight at Jammie time, Malac insisted on putting up a fight. He knows that when Pjs come on it's off to bed next. Tonight was daddy's turn to put Malac to bed. I came in to the living room and it was quite a scene. Malac doing his fake cry, in between laughter, Adam was trying get Malac to laugh and had dressed Osmos up in Malac's shorts. Osmos refused to move and didn't like it one bit but he sure looked cute!

Spiders
EWWW! While getting the mail today, I noticed how large the spider nest in the mail box was, so I sent Adam out to kill it. Malac was more then thrilled to go help kill the spiders. In fact, i doubt he could have been more excited. he marched around the mail box declaring "Kill the spiders!" to the whole neighborhood. It was gross! It looks like we killed em at the right time, all the babies and the mom went scurrying about as he killed em with bug spray.(see all their tiny dead bodies) I'm just glad their dead. Now i need not fear when i grab the mail. :)

B 17
This past week a B 17 bomber flew into the Yakima airport. I heard and suggest we all went. I was a little excited because I remember the many stories of George taking Adam when he was little, and when Adam was older putting model airplanes together, with his dad. I felt as I am sure Adam did that it was important and would be really cool if Adam could repeat these same things with his son. So the big night finely rolled around, and I was SICK. I decided I didn't feel up to going and encouraged Adam to go anyway. He did go and he took his dad with him. I wish I could have gotten a 3 generation picture, but thankfully I did get lots of pictures that Adam took.
As you can probably see from the pictures, it was a good thing I didn't go, I wouldn't have fit with my big belly. But as you can also see, Malac enjoyed it very much. He loves airplanes, and is unfortunately finding a love for guns, so this was right up his ally. He loved being able to see it all up close and touch it all. He came home and gave me a full report, I didn't understand it all but Adam did a great job of translating Malac talk to airplane talk. I'm so glad the boys had an opportunity to take time out of there busy day and go spend time together, and hope this will continue to be a family tradition.
P.S. The only down side to the b17 coming to town was that it made Adam and I crave a really good breakfast. Nichole & Greg used to live right near a restaurant with a b 17 out front, named the Bomber, Adam and I miss eating there. Adam introduced me around the time of Nicholas's birth, and it is worth a visit, the food is great.
