Boobies

Well, you can't accuse us of not teaching our son body parts. While out at a friends house tonight, all the kids got put to bed early and so Malac was left all alone. He found some paper and markers and while some other visiting friends were also there (so it was a nice full room) Malac proudly brought me his picture saying "look mommy a boobie!" Boobie mommy!". Malac does know his body parts and has been very interested in chests, both boys and girls. but tonight I think he must have been thinking girls.
Then at the end of the evening one of the girls was teasing another husband that he was going to grow man boobs because he was at girls night and helped her use the cheese grater, so Malac proudly pulled up his shirt and pointed proudly at his chest. ( we had explained that men have boobies too they are just flat and call a chest not boobies). So needless to say you can be sure Malac know what boobies are.

Daddy's shoes

Malac loves his daddy. He loves to spend time with daddy and wear his shoes. He is constantly putting them on and running around. Last night I was getting ready for girls night and Malac pushed on my legs saying "go mommy" , he was ready for his guy time. Silly guy!

Plane

This past week my parents stopped by and came bearing gifts. A new orange shirt,(our favorite color) and a monkey visor hat, and Grandpa brought an airplane trike. He repainted it to look new and Malac loves it. He scoots it all around the house. Thanks grandma & grandpa!

Thinking Boy...

Well I had my doctor apt. today and the doctor was on vacation so I had the nurse practitioner. She is super nice. She did the ultrasound on me so see if she could see if she could tell what we are having. The baby again, wiggled relentlessly. Not stopping for a second. It had the umbilical cord hanging between it's middle making it hard to see parts. It was folded up so it's feet were in it's face, and we even got a picture of the baby holding it's ankle. For how wiggly it was she did a much better job then the doctor of getting great pictures. Alas it appears we are having a boy. She wasn't the doctor, and couldn't say for sure, and like I said the baby was very wiggly with the umbilical cord in the right spot, but we think it's a boy. She got a great shot of what appears to be a little penis. A VERY healthy boy. She commented that it was a VERY strong & very Healthy baby boy. Not to mention active. It does worry me just a little how active this child is, He really moves a whole heck of a lot. But we will just have to wait and meet the little guy.

Malac also came with me and did a great job. He climbed up in the little chair and sat and asked where the baby was. He remembers last time he got to watch the baby projected on the wall. He talked a lot and asked about a penis. He is very excited to have a little brother. He talked non stop about penises. He's really into them right now(as I am sure he will always think they are pretty neat). When the check up was done, he asked where the baby was, I think he thought we would be bringing home the baby today. ( I wish as I have turned in to quite the punching bag for the little guy). But all in all it was a fun and successful trip. I'm so grateful the baby is so healthy and Malac is so excited about him, now I just wish we could find a name for the little guy!

2)His boy parts hanging off the upper left side

3)His little face looking head on, body coming down to the left.

5 years

Last night was our 5th wedding anniversary. Although in September it will be 10 years together! We didn't do much exciting. We really didn't have the funds. But we did get to go to the movies and see transformers 2. It was a fun movie and it was fun to get out of the house together. It has been a crazy 5 years. certainly not how we planned it all out. But as the old saying goes.."Man plans and God laughs" So I am sure God is getting a good chuckle out of us. We certainly didn't plan on living in Yakima, having 2 kids this soon and the careers we have. But we wouldn't have it any other way, (other then maybe more funds but who wouldn't want that!?) I am so grateful for my husband and the sacrifices he makes for us. He is an amazing man and I'm grateful he's mine. Happy anniversary honey! And thanks Jake and Karen for watching the boys, making our date possible.

I love to see the temple

I Love To See The Temple is one of Malac's favorite songs. He has always spoke about going and seeing the temple, so we finely made it a priority and went. Malac loved it from the moment we pulled up. He didn't stop to walk once. He LOVED it. We were walking on the path in the back and there was a mom and grandma and a little boy around 9. Malac ran up before anyone knew what was going on and grabbed the boys hand, shook it and kept on running. It was too cute. He loved seeing Mamom and Papa there as they finished up their Saturday temple work too. It was a lot of fun. Then they took us to a very yummy lunch. afterward. Malac loved the corn on the cob. Thanks for such a fun day!

A Turtle???

No matter what I do I can't see to fix/ take a picture of the ultrasound. But the doctor seems to think that he sees a turtle, not a burger. So it supposedly a boy. Another boy for us. Got any names??? We don't, none we like anyway. The Baby moved around A LOT and almost had it's legs crossed but not. So the doctor couldn't get a great shot, not just of the parts but the baby too. It wiggled a lot more then Malac and I thought he was a wiggler. But the Doctor said it is VERY healthy. So thats good.
The funnest part is that I drank so much water I had a full bladder even after peeing, so the assistant thought she would get us started on the ultrasound, while we waited for the doctor, and since my bladder was soooo full she thought she saw 2 sacks, meaning twins. So I volunteered to empty my bladder so she could see better, It worked like a charm, Only one. Yess!!!! Dodged that bullet!
The doctor was so uncertain even though he thinks he clearly sees a turtle, he wants to try again next appointment. So who knows Maybe it is a turtle, Maybe it's a burger!?!? We'll assume it's a turtle for now. :)

(P.S. the Doctor said that turtle and burger really are the text book names for reading the boy and girl on the ultrasound, among a few others!).
